The process I went through to complete this assignment is that I learn much about html codes. When I saw at 1st time it was quite complicated and I don’t know how 2 to do but I learn more about it, not only through lecturer notes but also by going through basic html codes in the internet. Actually, HTML language is the same idea of other language but the different is that it runs by the bunch of codes but I learn that HTML language is the easier language to learn.
~First, open any text editors, but open the Notepad or Write pad to edit the command codes.
*The important thing that I have learnt is that, before starting, you must understand how the HTML code works. It's very simple. When you open a command you have only two brackets what you open you must close by adding a slash to the tag. Anything you type in your HTML document must be between the two tags for the tag to take effect.
~ The tools and technologies that I have learn to use a free website as called Bravenet. I have learned how to use this bravehost.com and I also learn new things such as creating an website my page through html.
ADVANTAGES:
-Easy to learn and use
-Totally free to learn or create new website
-Many website templates to choose from. The best website builders come with thousands of ready templates, which can be customizing as necessary.
DISADVANTAGES:
-Not enough flexibility. It come with a predefined set of templates and when a user is looking for a very special layout, color combination, or other features, it is not impossible that the standard templates can't be modified to reflect this.
During the 1st session of doing the assignment, I found it very difficult to learn the html code because it was complicated as I mention above. A single and small mistake, end up in a big error which can’t open the page. I learn so much new things such as scrolling images, color background, image search, font color and etc. I have to type the html code in notepad again and again to get the correct output. It took few hours actually, but at last we did it.
I had many difficulties on uploading the files to the bravehost. This is because, this is the first time I’m using web server and don’t know where to upload it. At last I found it and upload the files but the problem that occurred after that is I couldn’t publish the web page and always shows that forbidden 403 when trying to open the page. Later I found the settings and successfully publish the webpage!!
Process of creating a blog:
-Need to create an account in Google in order to open a blogger. I used BlogSpot to do blogging. My friend was the one introduce the website to me.
-After signing in, the instructions guide me easily in creating my blog
I have learnt many lessons during this assignment process. I have learnt new things such as html code, creating new my own page, using web server, how to do blogging and etc. there is much more thing to learn out there then this. So, for my future assignment I would do more research on the web server, blogging and html code to do the work more professionally and also it will help increasing my general knowledge!!! J
